THE MUSIC IN ME

Ever since I can remember, I always wanted to be a performer. I loved to listen to the radio and try (I said try) sing along. Definitely one way to develop a talent. I found that over time, after listening to many influential people in my life, I grew to appreciate good music.

I am grateful for a talented family. My sister Syrene has always been an inspiration to me with her commitment to her music. As well my brothers Johnny, Diederich, Baron, and Aki. All have special musical talents that collectively create an amazing collaboration of family talent.

Many of my Uncle's and Auntie's are all amazing musicians in there own right, on both sides of my family. Those who know my Dad's family, many may know of the Paki band, and the reputation the Paki sisters had. I grew up listening to my Nanny Hettig sing to us when we were young and to this day still honor her name. My Mum's side, and for those who know their family, they had great talent also. But among them all, there is one who stood out and became a star that would forever shine. His name was Ricky May. He was known as Australia's biggest Jazz singer.

I believe our families have influenced us so much that these talents are passed down to us. Therefore, I introduce a video that I know my family love, but that others can enjoy and appreciate great talent. Now I know where THE MUSIC IN ME came from...
